Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing

Sieve Segregation Test Set - Is 1199 (part 6)

Sieve Segregation Test Set - Is 1199 (part 6)

The Sieve Segregation Test, also known as the Set-Stability Test, is used to evaluate the segregation resistance of self-compacting concrete (SCC). This test helps determine the uniformity of SCC by assessing its ability to maintain homogeneity and resist segregation, which is critical to ensure the quality and performance of the concrete. As per IS 1199 (Part 6) : 2018, EN 12350-11: Testing fresh concrete – Part 11: EFNARC Guidelines for Self-Compacting Concrete.

U Box

U Box

U BOX is one of the apparatus of the SCC (Self Consolidating Concrete) test accessories. These tests are used to determine the flowability and passing ability of Self Consolidating Concrete (SCC) as defined in ASTM C1621. Passing ability refers to the ability of SCC, under its own weight (without vibration), to flow into and completely fill the spaces within an intricate framework, containing obstacles such as reinforcement bars.

V Funnel Test Apparatus

V Funnel is one of the apparatus of the SCC (Self Consolidating Concrete) test. Primarily used for viscosity determination. This test also gives the filling ability of the concrete.

O Funnel Apparatus - Type I

O Funnel Apparatus - Type I

The O-Funnel Apparatus is primarily used in testing the flowability and viscosity of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC). The O-Funnel Test is similar in principle to the V-Funnel Test, assessing the time taken for SCC to flow through a narrow opening, which provides insights into the concrete’s viscosity and flow behavior
