Bulk Density Cylindrical Metal Measure is designed for the measurement of unit weights and voids in aggregate. It is used for the determination of bulk density and voids of aggregate for concrete, weight per cubic meter, yield, cement factor and air content of freshly mixed concrete.

It consist of a road wheel suitable for clamping 14 road stone specimens on its periphery. A rubber tyred wheel fitted with a lever system to exert a load of 40 kgf. on the road wheel. An hopper unit fitted with drain cork for feeding emery powder over the road wheel. A water reservoir fitted with drain cork for feeding water into hopper. Suitable for operation on 220v, 50 Hz, single phase supply. Skid resistance tester, Specimen preparation moulds (14 nos are required) , silicon sand and air floated emery powder required as per IS 2386 (Part IV) are offered separately.

As per IS:2386 - IV/ ASTM C131. Complete with revolution counter, G.I. Tray, 12 Nos. Abrasive charge and instruction manual. The machine is used tor testing crushed slag and crushed & uncrushed gravel for resistance to abrasion. The aim of the test is to find the percentage wear due to the relative rubbing action between the aggregates and steel balls used as abrasive charge. The oven-dried aggregates are weighed and rotated along with abrasive charge in the machine at 500 or 1000 revolutions and percentage of wear so found out is reported as Los Angeles abrasion value.

A noise reduction cabinet for a Los Angeles (LA) Abrasion Testing Machine is a specialized protective enclosure designed to house the machine during operation. Its primary functions are to significantly lower laboratory noise levels and ensure operator safety.

Complete with a cylindrical cup, 102 mm dia X 50 mm depth, one measure 75 mm dia X 50 mm deep and a tamping rod of circular cross section 10 mm in diameter and 230 mm long, rounded at one end. AS PER IS: 2386 (Part - IV).

Methylene Blue Test for Aggregate Fines: AASHTO T 330 and ASTM C 837. The methylene blue test is used to identify the presence of clay minerals in aggregates, which can affect the quality of concrete and asphalt mixtures. The test measures the amount of methylene blue dye adsorbed by clay minerals present in aggregate fines, indicating the level of impurities.

The Aggregate Crushing Value provides a relative measure of resistance of aggregate to crushing under a gradually applied compressive load. The oven dried and accurately weighed aggregates are subjected to crushing test on compression testing machine and weight of the resultant fines passing the specified IS sieve to the total weight of the sample expressed as a percentage is defined as Aggregate Crushing Value.

Used to determine the flakiness index of coarse aggregates, helping assess particle shape for quality control in road and concrete construction as per IS 2386 Part 1.

Used for determining the specific gravity and water absorption of fine aggregates (sand) in civil engineering laboratory testing.

A S.S.wire basket of not more than 6.3 mm mesh or a perforated container of convenient size. with wire hangers not thicker than one mm suspending it from the balance, as per IS:2386 (Part III)

Used for determining the elongation index of coarse aggregates, ensuring proper shape for road construction and bituminous mix design.
